Our Women Coffee Growers coffee is now available in a freeze-dried format—you can prepare it with water or milk. Through our Women Coffee Growers program, we have been working to promote the economic and social empowerment of women who produce freeze-dried coffee, so that—through gender equity—we can achieve a better future for their families, their communities, and the Colombian countryside overall.
History
Procafecol S.A. was created with the aim of generating value-added businesses for coffee growers and its Juan Valdez® brand, which has four lines of business: Stores, Channel.
2002: We opened the first Juan Valdez store at El Dorado International Airport.
2005: We began international expansion with the opening of the first Juan Valdez store in Washington, D.C.
2007: We established the labor-inclusion program in partnership with the Best Buddies Colombia foundation.
2008: We continued global expansion with exports to Europe and Asia and opened stores in Chile and Ecuador.
2009: We reached 147 Juan Valdez stores and achieved an international presence in more than 2,340 supermarkets.
2012: We launched our “Amigos de Juan Valdez” loyalty program.
2013: We inaugurated the first experiential store in Bogotá.
2014: We opened store number 200 in Colombia.
2019: We launched a new corporate strategy.
