History

Procafecol S.A. was created to generate value-added businesses for coffee growers and its Juan Valdez® brand, which has four lines of business: Stores, Channel.

2002: We opened the first Juan Valdez store at El Dorado International Airport.
2005: We began international expansion with the opening of the first Juan Valdez store in Washington, D.C.
2007: We established a labor-inclusion program in partnership with the Best Buddies Colombia foundation.
2008: We continued global expansion with exports to Europe and Asia and opened stores in Chile and Ecuador.
2009: We reached 147 Juan Valdez stores and achieved an international presence in more than 2,340 supermarkets.
2012: We launched our “Amigos de Juan Valdez” loyalty program.
2013: We inaugurated the first experiential store in Bogotá.
2014: We opened store number 200 in Colombia.
2019: We launched a new corporate strategy.
